Train The Trainer Program(TSD)

Such a program is intended for educators and teachers to optimize and professionalize their current method and expand their knowledge and skills. Such programs are focused on the teaching of leadership skills or facilitation skills.

There are two sets of skills and knowledge which a trainer needs to possess. Firstly, they should know have expertise in the subject they are teaching. Secondly, they must have expertise in delivering the content.

Our ‘Train the Trainer’ program is aimed at equipping our Trainers with the skills, knowledge and methods to devise their own successful classes. Our course endeavours to help one emerge ready, prepared and confident before making her way into the classroom. There are many teaching aspects to look into, before the actual teaching that can make one very efficient as a Trainer. Our program acquaints the participants with behaviours, scenarios and choreographies that can be employed in classrooms to facilitate learning.

Learned behaviour for effective teaching when linked with a planned lesson framework, forms the choreographies to facilitate the students’ learning. We teach certain methods so as to make a Trainer classroom ready. Our purpose is to assist our participants in building a successful personal teaching style that would create a memorable learning experience and joy in the chosen field.

Learning Outcomes:

• Makes Trainers authoritative. If a Trainer wants her students to pay attention, be engaged and retain information that is presented to them, it is important that they feel that it is coming from some authority.

• Trainers are trained to have interactive discussion with the group. This helps the Trainer to train the leaders to deal with their audience by having everyone process and think at a deeper level.

• The participants will have a better understanding of how to appeal to a diverse learning audience and are truly able to retain the content. This is important ,not only for actually teaching in training programs but also when they are part of developing the content.

Some highlights of our program:

* Begin with the goal of a Trainer – a thorough discussion is carried out that involves issues like development of relevant skills, adoption of an appropriate attitude and the various ways to deliver knowledge effectively.

* Educational psychology – the program focusses on the use of psychology in designing and delivering the learning options. A fair knowledge of educational psychology enables a Trainer to deal with students more effectively.

* Prepare objectives and an assessment process – Trainers must be able to design goals based on behaviour and realistic assessments to measure the outcomes of the course. This facilitates working on a series of objectives based on behaviour.

* Make interactive sessions – it is an aspect that the Trainer need to pay heed to. The more interactive a session in a classroom is, the more engaging the lesson would be. This would lead to better learning outcomes
